SYPTE Supertram Project – Stage 2

Stage 2 of the SYPTE Supertram Project started on the 28th of March and just like last year using the Marais machine we are continuing with the developed cutting system for the main contractor (Volker Rail) that will cut a slot down the side of the track to assist with removal of existing rail, plus a profiling tool for the bottom of the exposed trench to allow for the laying of the new upgraded tracks. The webster cutting system is used in conjunction with a Marais RC-50 remote control machine which includes dust collection. The combination of the Webster and the Marais machines ensures a safe and clean working environment.
