D-20 Rockwheel Trenching in Long Houghton

The Project

A housing development in Long Houghton needed a 2M deep X 1.2M Wide trench in order to lay a sewage pipe by excavating Whin Stone or Grey Wacky Rock.

 

The Solution

A D-20 Rockwheel with T1 picks was used mounted on a quick hitch adapter bracket to a Daewoo 220 Excavator.

The excavator was set to 320 Bar pressure delivery at a power of 40 KW.

The excavation rate was measured at 0.75 M³/hour.
